Final Conference at EWF
On October 22, 2024, the ShakeAM Project celebrated its Final European Conference in Lisbon, hosted by the EWF. This event marked a pivotal moment for ShakeAM, bringing together 42 participants from across Europe, including educators, industry representatives, and project stakeholders, to discuss the project’s accomplishments and future potential in advancing Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM).
The conference provided a comprehensive overview of ShakeAM achievements, focusing on
its innovative training methodologies, best practice database, and accessible resources
designed to meet both academic and industry needs. Key presentations highlighted ShakeAM
contributions to the educational landscape, including insights into the DfAM digital
ecosystem and its inclusive approach to training both general and SEND students.
The conference fostered engaging discussions around sustainability strategies for
ShakeAM results, with participants exploring ways to integrate these methodologies into
their organizations. Positive feedback underscored the event’s success, with attendees
expressing strong interest in applying ShakeAM tools and approaches to further enhance
DfAM competencies within their institutions.
